Acanthoceras was an extinct genus of large, heavily ribbed ammonite, lived approximately 100 to 93 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period, specifically during the Cenomanian stage.
These free-swimming predatory cephalopods flourished in the shallow, warm seas of the Cretaceous and left behind fossils that are now highly prized by collectors.
Includes presentation box with magnet closure.
